Urban Blue Bus is a volunteer-led charity based in Maidstone, providing vital support to people who may find themselves unwell, vulnerable, or in need of help during the town’s busy nightlife. Established in 2009, the service originally operated from a converted double-decker bus but has since evolved into a fully equipped response van, allowing the team to reach and assist more people effectively.
Operating every Saturday night in Maidstone town centre, trained volunteers offer first aid, basic triage, and welfare support. They help individuals stay safe, provide reassurance, and guide them toward further assistance where needed. Beyond its work in the night-time economy, Urban Blue also supports a range of local events, including festivals, sports tournaments, and community celebrations, offering affordable first-aid cover and wellbeing support.
