An investigation into a violent burglary that left a man with life-changing injuries in Coxheath has led to officers securing charges against two more suspects.
Six people had previously been charged in relation to the incident.
Emergency call handlers were alerted just after 8.10 pm on 23 December 2024 to reports of a group of people breaking into an address near Heath Road.
It is alleged that the group assaulted two occupants of the property with a metal bar and a bladed weapon, before stealing a watch and fleeing in two cars.
Officers attended the scene where a search led to the seizure of a knife and a crowbar.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries, including to his head and arm. Another man, also in his 40s, was treated for a serious head injury.
Following initial enquiries, eight men and two women were arrested concerning the incident between 31 December 2024 and 3 March 2025.
