The deadline for businesses to submit evidence of financial losses from the December water outage has been extended to 9am on 27 February.
RTW Business Improvement District, in partnership with Mike Martin MP and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, is continuing to gather evidence to demonstrate the business impact of the outage. South East Water CEO Dave Hinton has indicated that the company may consider increasing its compensation offer if sufficient evidence is provided.
As announced last month, the BID have set up an online survey for local businesses to share evidence of their losses. A significant number of businesses have already completed the form, which is massively valuable in building a robust, evidence-backed case to put to SE Water.
However, to ensure the strongest possible representation, the BID is encouraging more affected businesses to share their information if they have not yet done so.
Businesses that suffered losses, can complete the survey and upload any relevant evidence here: https://mike-martin.co.uk/water-compensation
Your submission will help ensure local businesses receive fair compensation.
