Election due for St. John's ward on Thursday
A local by-election is due in the St. John's ward of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. The election is due following the resignation of the Liberal Democratic councillor for personal reasons.
Six candidates will fight the election, although Labour won't be taking part. Their candidate, Alan Bullion, had his nomination papers discarded because they were incomplete.
The full line-up is as follows:
Joe Dore (Indep)
Kit Hawkes-Webb (Tunbridge Wells Alliance)
Chris Hoard (Reform UK)
Ukonu Obasi (Liberal Democrat)
Kate Sergeant (Green Party)
David Sumner (Conservative)
The election will take place on Thursday, 30 October 2025.
Electors are reminded to take an acceptable form of identification when attending the polling station.
