Tonbridge & Malling Boroiugh Council are asking drivers to be aware if using any car parks that scammers have stuck fake QR codes to some machines.
The picture here shows a fake QR code at the Angel car park in Tonbridge. The code takes you to a fraudulent payment site.
TWBC doesn't display QR codes on any of their parking machines – so if you see one in a council-run car park you can be sure it’s a fake.
TWBC is currently checking all of their machines across the borough and removing any stickers found..
