Excellence award for housing awarded to Sevenoaks
Sevenoaks District Council has recently been recognised at the Kent Housing Group Excellence Awards.
The awards celebrate the very best projects, professionals and partnerships across housing in Kent and Medway.
The Council’s Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance won the award for Delivering Services for Vulnerable People and the Housing and Community Hub and Local Authority Housing Fund project both achieved Highly Commended in the Best Partnership category.
Cabinet Member for Housing and Health, Cllr Perry Cole, says: “This is a great achievement, and we are very proud of our Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance team for winning the ‘Delivering Services for Vulnerable People’ award.
“Tackling domestic abuse is a huge priority for our Housing and Community Safety teams and this award shows we are doing all we can to address the issue.
“Partnership working is very important to us, so we were delighted our Housing and Community Hub and Local Authority Housing Fund project and were both recognised as highly commended.
“The nomination and subsequent receipt of these awards are testament to the work of our staff and reflects our commitment to continue providing the best possible service to our residents.”
The awards took place on 25 September 2025 at Eastgate in Northfleet in front of an audience of more than 100 housing professionals.
