Kent: Annual Policing Survey

Time to have your say

Matthew Scott, Kent’s Police and Crime Commissioner is inviting residents across the county to take part in his Annual Policing Survey 2025. The survey is now live and offers people the opportunity to share their views on policing, safety, and crime in their local area.

The survey asks participants to rate their trust in Kent Police, how safe they feel in their community, and whether they have experienced crime or antisocial behaviour. It also seeks feedback on police performance and satisfaction with any contact they may have had with the force.

Matthew Scott said:

“I want to hear from residents of Kent on their feelings of safety, experience of crime and antisocial behaviour and how any interaction with Kent Police went. This is the best way to find out what is happening in different parts of our county and whether enough is being done.

My goal is to cut crime, support victims and build trust. Kent Police are working hard to address areas where problems persist, but I won’t know if my goals are being met without the input of the residents of Kent.

Trust in policing is vital to ensure a good service is being delivered and people feel safe where they live but I need to know if more can be done and if so where in our county specifically.”

The survey is anonymous and takes around five minutes to complete. All feedback will be used to inform future decisions and improve policing across Kent. The results will be presented at the Commissioner’s quarterly Performance and Delivery Board, where Mr Scott holds the Chief Constable to account.

The survey was launched last week and has already received over 1,000 responses. The Commissioner’s office is keen to keep the momentum going and encourages even more residents to take part and share their views.

The Commissioner and his office would like to thank everyone who takes the time to complete the survey and share their views.
