The House in the Basement Youth Café (HitB) is a free, vibrant, and welcoming space for young people aged 11–17. Created with input from local youth and supported by Sevenoaks Youth Council, HitB continues to evolve with young people at the heart of its design, welcoming young people of all genders, ethnicities, sexual identities, and abilities. Located in the basement of the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks Town Centre, HitB is easy to access with a step-free sloped entrance. It is a safe and inclusive space to relax, make friends, and try new activities. Drop in any day, no sign-up needed! Enjoy homework support, advice, music, art projects, chess, pool, board games, video games, and low-cost hot meals. Every Tuesday, we run a weekly SEN Club, a quieter, session for young people with Special Educational Needs. Following Sevenoaks Town Council principles, HitB helps young people build confidence, develop social skills, and grow in a relaxed, informal environment.
